Josh telling a story about tadpoles
This is a personal blog to let our family and friends know how we get on with the linguistic, cultural and culinary challenges of Asia's world city, Hong Kong. I am currently working as a primary teacher at an international IB school in Hong Kong.

Peng Chau
Over Chinese New Year we spent a day on the tiny island of Peng Chau. It was wonderfully quiet, peaceful and uneventful (with the exception of the bush fire!) We got the ferry mid-morning from Central, and 40 minutes later we were in Peng Chau. We had lunch at a little restaurant along the main street, which inexplicably had a menu in German. After that we made our way slowly around the Family Trail, seeing a fire en route. We had spotted the fire beaters all along the paths (there are no real roads and no cars) and came across a few fire fighters jogging towards the black smoky bit!
Saw a Chinese skink sunning itself by the Loong Fung Terrace bus stop

Lots of cute houses up Shing Ka Road
Gorgeous sea view
The house I want to live in one day.
